AUG. 2- AUG. 31, 2021- The GCLMPO is updating its Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), a long-range, fiscally-constrained plan that defines the transportation network that will serve both present and projected volumes of vehicular traffic, public transportation use, bicycle, pedestrian, aviation and freight travel in and around the urban area through the year 2050. The MTP is based on the most accurate and complete information available including, but not limited to, population and employment growth and land development patterns in and around the urban area. The MTP must demonstrate fiscal constraint by anticipating future revenues to compensate for the proposed project investments.

The public is invited to review and comment on the draft fiscally-constrained project lists, covering all modes of transportation. Additional information can be obtained by visiting the MPO’s website at www.gclmpo.org, or by viewing the interactive project map at https://gclmpo-2050-mtp-projects-gastonianc.hub.arcgis.com/.

The public may also provide comments during the GCLMPO TCC Meeting on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 10:00 am and the Board Meeting on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 6:30 pm.

Written comments may be sent by mail or email to the following address:
