2024 - 2025 APPROVED BUDGET

 

As part of the budget process the Belmont City Council has to approve a new budget for the upcoming fiscal year.  This process starts in the spring of each year, typically 4-5 months prior to the beginning of the new fiscal year, July 1. The council holds a series of public budget workshops to go over the specifics of the proposed budget where they can make changes and adjustments before holding the budget public hearing.  After the budget public hearing is held the council can then officially adopt the budget ordinance.  The budget has to be approved before June 30 at 11:59 PM.

The Belmont City Council held their budget workshops on April 15, and May 6, May 23, and June 3.   City Manager Miles Braswell presented the proposed budget to the City Council during these regular meetings and workshops.  The minutes or meeting recording for the budget meetings can be viewed by clicking the links below:

The City Council held the required public hearing for the 2024-2025 budget at their meeting on June 3, 2024, and then voted unanimously to approve the budget as presented by the City Manager.
