Our Mission

To enhance the quality of life for residents, while also providing them as well as visitors, with healthy recreation opportunities by developing, operating and maintaining our city parks and recreation programs.

Benefits of Recreation

Studies have shown that cities with larger recreation programs help promote healthier lifestyles and a greater sense of community. These cities typically have lower crime rates and a strong economy. Along with these benefits, recreation programs also help to promote preservation of green spaces within their cities.
