Street Maintenance

The Street Maintenance area of Field Operations is responsible for maintaining approximately 150 miles of City Streets. This maintenance consists of sweeping all City streets, resurfacing streets, repairing pot holes, repairing concrete curbs and sidewalks. Other related duties are construction and repair of storm water drainage systems and providing help in the maintenance of the two City-owned cemeteries and maintaining the landscaping of City facilities, beautification areas, street rights-of-way and working closely with Keep Belmont Beautiful.

BELMONT SOLID WASTE COLLECTION

It is the mission of the City of Belmont's Solid Waste Collection Department to maintain the City owned facilities, and collect and dispose of solid waste items for the residents of the City of Belmont. Further, it is the Solid Waste Collections Department's intention to provide these services in a safe work environment for City employees in an effective, cost-efficient manner.
