Independence Day Celebration

Join us for Red, White, and Belmont at Stowe Park next Wednesday, July 4th.  Activities are planned to start at 4 pm which include a patriotic pup parade, log rolling, pie eating contest, and performances by the Panthers "Purrcussion" Drumline.  Carnival rides are also planned on the upper field in the park from 4 to 9 pm so bring your family and friends and enjoy the festivities as the band prepares to take the stage for the last Friday Night Live concert of the season.

The band takes the stage at 7 pm with a mix of of Soul, R&B, and your favorite beach sounds so bring your dancing shoes and show us your best Carolina Shag! The 50/50 raffle is sponsored by the Belmont Citizens Police Academy and they'll be helping out in the beverage garden as well.

The Grand Finale - 9:45 pm

We will wrap up the evening with our traditional spectacular fireworks display over beautiful downtown. Please note- there will be no vehicle access or departure allowed on airline or mill street during the fireworks show. 

Important information for our business partners located within the concert/firework area.

South Main Street will close at 1 pm on July 4th between Airline and McLeod Ave.  Due to the firework "fall-out" area, on-street parking will also be limited on Airline St., Mill Street, and some portions of McLeod Ave.  These areas will be clearly identified with special signage.

Parking will be available in the public lots located on Mill Street, the Glenway Parking Lot, and lots at city hall.  We have arrange for other special event parking at the Stowe Building, the old Belmont Federal Bank Building, and lots adjacent to the police department.  We will have event parking signs posted at these sites.
