New ABC Board

The City is accepting applications for membership to serve on a new local ABC Board (Board of Alcoholic Control) with expertise in law, finance, operations, marketing, and small business management.  The board is tasked with establishing a local ABC Store and associated duties as found in Chapter 18B Article 7 of the NC General Statues.   The Board is composed of five members who are appointed by the City Council for three-year staggered terms.  The mission of local ABC boards and their employees shall be to serve their localities responsibly by controlling the sale of spirituous liquor and promoting customer-friendly, modern, and efficient stores.  Application may be filed online or in person at City Hall.  Follow this link to apply online or visit this link  to download an application.

BOA

Board of Adjustment Member Needed

The City of Belmont is accepting applications for Board of Adjustment (BOA) membership. This City Council appointed board is a decision-making body made up of five members that hear and decides on appeals and variances related to planning and zoning. 

The BOA meets at least once a month on an "as needed" basis with regularly scheduled meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month. You can apply online or in person at Belmont City Hall.  You can download the application at this link.
