Belmont's Pothole Paving Program for 2009

The City of Belmont will be patching 134 potholes over the next several weeks. The potholes are on streets in all parts of town and were selected by the Public Works Department based on severity of the potholes. The "Class 1" potholes, the ones with the most need for repair, were selected.

The cost of this program is $100,000, which comes from the City's portion of the state gasoline tax. Instead of resurfacing one street, which would have cost the same amount of money, the City Council decided to patch potholes on streets all over town. Please be patient when the contractors are working on these potholes.

The pothole on the right, located at the intersection of North Main Street and Davis Street, was recently patched as part of this program.
